A balloon flight is an amazing experience. The sights and the sounds are all part of that amazing experience and over the years our passengers and pilots have experienced some incredible views. We have compiled a list of the most stunning views we have seen from our hot air balloons and if you’re flying with us soon, here’s a taster of what to expect!

The Royal Crescent

The Royal Crescent is one of the most instantly recognisable buildings in the whole of the UK. The crescent consist of no fewer than 30 terraced houses joined in a large crescent shape. To appreciate this fabulous building, there’s no way better than from above in a hot air balloon!

 

The Clifton Suspension Bridge

The amazing Clifton Suspension Bridge is spotted with ease from above and from a hot air balloon you can take in the spectacular views of this famous landmark and it’s a keen favourite with our passengers!

 

Bath Abbey

Bath Abbey is one of the most spectacular buildings in the whole of Bath and from above it offers truly breath taking views. The Abbey is one of the biggest examples of Gothic architecture on the planet and is filled with so much detail there is plenty to look at from above in a hot air balloon!

 

Pulteney Bridge

The Pulteney Bridge can be seen from afar whilst flying over the river and is a keen favourite amongst passengers and balloonists. The river and bridge can provide a beautiful backdrop and spectacular views and it’s even more spectacular in a hit air balloon!

 

SS Great Britain

Another one of Bristol’s most famous landmarks, the SS Great Britain sits proudly in Bristol’s harbour. From above the famous ship offers truly breath taking views and it gives you a chance to really appreciate its fantastic design.

Ashton Court Estate

When flying from Bristol we launch from the beautiful grounds of Ashton Court Estate and this is the first of many amazing views you will experience on your flight. From above you will witness spectacular views of the many acres of land surrounding the 11th Century manor house and if you’re lucky you may even spot a deer or two!

 

Tyntesfield House

If your balloon flight takes you South West of Bristol, you may spot the Victorian manor house of Tyntesfield. The house is a Grade I listed building which is run by the National Trust. From above you can see it’s fantastic grounds and architecture. It’s a favourite amongst passengers who have been lucky enough to spot it!

 

The Somerset Coal Canal

If you are interested in history, then a balloon flight is a must to experience the views of the Somerset Coal Canal from above. The waterway was once used to take coal to the marketplace of Bath. Nowadays, few of the original bridges remain but some of the locks are intact. If you happen to fly over the canal in our balloon, make sure you look out for a canal boat or two!
