The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta has been running for 30 years and is the largest balloon Fiesta in Europe and one of the largest outdoor events in the UK with over half a million visitors attending over the four day festival. Every morning and evening (weather permitting of course) there will be a tremendous mass ascent with over 100 beautiful hot air balloons taking to the sky creating an awesome sight both from the basket and for those waving at you from below.

 

Enjoy the view of the Fiesta from the air, looking down upon all the hustle and bustle of the activities on the ground and wave to those looking in awe as you pass overhead. Admire the beautiful Ashton Court Mansion and its surrounding estate as you rise above the funfair, food and laughter, before floating away to brighten up the skies of Bristol with a magical pallet of colour. To keep you entertained whilst on the ground there will be the GWR FM Free Music Concert with IKEA Bristol, which always promises to bring some top names and creates a fantastic family orientated festival atmosphere.

 

Also during the weekend usually on the Thursday and Saturday evenings there will be spectacular Night Glows and Fireworks. Approximately 30 tethered balloons illuminate the night sky, choreographed sequences are set to music which was produced last year by GWR FM. Finally a magnificent firework display, provided last year by Bristol based Skyburst. A fantastic way to remember your weekend!!
