We were with Michel Reichenbach, the president of the Chateau d’Oex Balloon Fiesta which happens every January in the Swiss Alps. After a sunny day filled with amazing balloon flights floating amongst the snow-clad mountains, Michel said we would celebrate with a traditional Champagne toast. Michel decided to open the bottle using the Sabruer technique, which involves slicing the top of the Champagne bottle with a sword! We do know a man who does know how to do it very well, as he has had lots of practice!
