On Monday night we flew from Royal Victoria Park, Bath and landed at Theale on the Somerset Levels, near Wookey Hole. We travelled 21 miles, which is the longest distance we have been in a hot air balloon with our passengers so far this year, cruising at 22 knots at 2500 feet.
It was a fantastic hot air balloon flight with the sun casting a deep intensity of light and depth to the countryside. The visibility was stunning as we had views of the Welsh mountains, down to Devon and dropping over the Mendip Ridge to land at Theale.
Here are more photos from one our passengers, Leila who flew wuth us that evening.
