The Sky Orchestra, was set up by the artist Luke Jerram, with seven hot air balloons playing a different part of a piece of music as they float across the sky. The Sky Orchestra has already played over many places including Bristol, London, Canada and Australia.
This morning, Friday June 21st at 6.30am, Clive Bailey took to the skies, as one of the seven balloons, flying over Londonderry.
Each of the seven hot air balloons has its own sound system attached to create a unique piece of music for residents below.
The Sky Orchestra is in Derry/Londonderry 21st-23rd June to help celebrate it being the City of Culture 2013.
This truly is surround sound with a difference! The music is composed to travel through the air over long distances and the Sky Orchestra hopes their performance will have been a lovely way to wake up this morning!
