Autumn Hot Air Balloon Rides

17/10/2013 Jo Bailey News

Autumn is always a spectacular time of year and this year we have seen a huge number of berries on the trees and bushes. Hope you have been enjoying Blackberry and Apple Crumble- one of our favourites!

Two interesting facts about Autumn! On the first day of Autumn, the sun is aligned between the North and the South of the earth, so the light and dark hours are exactly the same length which is why it is called ‘equinox’, derived from the Latin  ‘aequus’ meaning ‘equal’.

Standing eggs! There are two days of the year when you can stand an egg on its end! Yes you guessed it –  on the autumn and spring equinox. You can try this  by placing the egg on a hard, flat surface on its largest end. When you carefully pull your hands away and it should remain upright.

We think the best way to really appreciate Autumn is from the air in a hot air balloon!

Remember you can enter our COMPETITION to win a pair of balloon flights!
