Last night was the Bristol Tourism and Hospitality Awards ceremony at the
Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel where we walked away with the ‘Access for All’
award! We are incredibly proud of our hard work to ensure that
as many people as possible can experience the magic of a hot air balloon
ride, and are so pleased that this was recognised last night with this
award.
Destination Bristol head of tourism Kathryn Davis said: “The awards ceremony
is our annual opportunity to bring together tourism businesses and
individuals from the area and celebrate their achievements over the last 12
months. We had very worthy nominations in all the categories, and picking
winners from such a strong field was a huge challenge.
“It highlights what a great range of first-rate attractions, entertainment,
eateries and accommodation we have in Bristol, but crucially it also
recognises the efforts of the exceptional individuals that are behind them.”
The evening began with the presentation of 9 awards including Small
Attraction of the Year award, won by our fellow table guests Bristol
Ferryboats, Small Guest Accommodation award, won by our friends at Berwick
Lodge and the Access for All award. This was followed with a lovely
three-course meal and finished with the presentation of the final 9 awards.
Competition was tough and unfortunately we couldn’t come away with two
awards, but we would like to congratulate all the winners on their awards
and everyone short-listed for all the hard work that they put into tourism
in Bristol.
Thank you to Destination Bristol for organising the awards, our very own
‘Bristol Oscar’s’! We had a lovely evening celebrating all the amazing
experiences available in Bristol; we hope to see everyone again next year!
