A Polish DJ has recently performed a unique set at an event in Switzerland by taking the decks to the skies in a hot air balloon.
Ever since Swedish musical duo Dada lifted off as part of their Dadaland: The Voyage performance, hot air balloons have been all the rage with popular DJ’s. Since, then members of the dance music industry have been going gaga for unusual performance spaces, and hot air balloons have featured prominently, along with a 75-foot crane, pushing the boundaries of what is considered to be a safe place to play a set.
The latest DJ to take up the mantle and take a hot air balloon ride, whilst playing their favourite music, is Polish record-spinner DJ Magda. The popular female DJ took to the skies as part of the Caprice Festival, held in Switzerland at the beginning of April.
DJ Magda took to the skies with no less than fifteen guests, who were all lucky enough to enjoy her one hour set with the most stunning views.
During her hot air balloon ride, the DJ installed 360 cameras, so that she could record the whole unique experience and share it with those fans who were not lucky enough to be up in the air with her.
During the video, which can be viewed online in its entirety, it is possible to drag around the screen in every direction, getting some idea of what it would have been like to be Magda. Of course, if you really want to know what it feels like to be up in the air, hot air balloon rides in South Wales are perfect.
