The people behind the biggest hot air balloon festival in the United Kingdom – The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta – have revealed that the event will take place on Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th August 2017.
The Fiesta, which brings thousands of visitors to the area each year, will see hot air balloons launched between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm for the duration of the event, depending on weather conditions. This means that visitors can not only witness the spectacle of multiple balloon launches, but they can also embark on their own hot air balloon rides in Bristol.
Taking a hot air balloon flight from the Bristol Balloon Fiesta 2017 will mean that participants will be taking off with as many as 100 other balloons from the event, which makes it much more exciting than a solo hot air balloon ride at another time and location.
The event is always extremely popular, due to the many spectacular displays put on by visiting pilots, including mass ascents, night glows, firework displays, and much more.
Not only that, but there is plenty of action to be had on the ground, with plenty of family-friendly attractions, which have, in past years, included fairground rides, novelty hot air balloons, local food and drink stalls, and lots of local musicians.
