The nights are getting lighter, the temperatures are getting warmer (slowly!) and the flying season is just around the corner! There are lots of preparations underway behind the scenes at Bailey Balloons to ensure that the new season begins as smoothly as possible. Here are just some of the things that we are getting ready!
Everyday we have excited passengers booking onto our flights over the phone and online! It’s usually best to book as early as possible in the season and the Spring is a wonderful time to fly with all the fresh greenery and flowers around! It also means that if you are unlucky and your first flight is cancelled, you will have plenty of time left to be able to book another date. Book a Flight
Every flight needs to be scheduled onto our database whether it’s a private flight or a scheduled passenger flight. We schedule at least 2 flights a day, 7 days a week throughout the flying season so that we don’t ever miss a good weather slot! There are plenty of dates to choose from in Bristol, Bath & South Wales during the flying season but book early because they are filling up quickly! Check Flight Availability
None of our flights can go ahead unless they each have a Pilot and Crew! We have a dedicated team of very experienced Pilots, headed up by Clive Bailey and a great team of crew who are in charge of retrieving the balloons and making sure that your experience with us is one to cherish forever. Many of our crew have been with us for years and are as passionate about ballooning as we are (they need to be with the early mornings and late nights!). All of our vehicles, trailers, balloons and baskets get extensively tested, serviced, checked and cleaned before the season begins. The winter period is a time for our balloons and vehicles to rest but before they head back out again, it’s vital we check they’re in good working order! At Bailey Balloons our reputation is founded on safety and quality, so it’s extremely important to us that everything is in good working order.
As well as flying hundreds of passengers, the summer period is usually a great time to get out and say hello to people! We often attend multiple shows throughout the summer including the Bristol Balloon Fiesta. We will also be attending the North Somerset Show on 1st May, so pop down and say hello!
