As dawn breaks over a new decade, we at Bailey Balloons were delighted to see our founder Clive Bailey name-checked in the Bristol Post as one of the reasons why our city was a great place to be in 2019.
Clive set up Bailey Balloons in 1994 having obtained his balloon license at the age of 29. Bailey Balloons has been taking balloon enthusiasts and novices on hot air balloon adventures for decades. Since 1997, Clive has held an instructor’s licence and can even train aspiring balloonists who might be keen to follow in his footsteps.
As anyone in Clive’s team will testify, helping people to experience the magic of a hot air balloon flight – whether for the first time or the thousandth time – is a wonderful privilege. It is therefore no wonder that his contribution to the life and soul of the city known as the ballooning capital of Great Britain has been singled out.
Each year, Clive works as the flight director for the globally renowned Bristol Balloon Fiesta. This annual festival sees hundreds of balloons take to the air over the course of several days, delighting local crowds and putting Bristol on the map.
Clive also has a streak of derring-do in him, specialising in balloon stunts and directing record-breaking ascents all over the world.
If you want the chance to experience the sort of aeronautical magic that Clive has made possible for yourself, why not book one of our hot air balloon flights over Bristol, Bath or other areas of the South East in which we fly?
