This week saw the announcement that the previously cancelled Staffordshire Balloon Fiesta would be back for July 2021 in the grounds of Uttoxeter Racecourse. The fiesta hopes to attract balloons from around the country and to delight thousands of visitors over the two days of the festival.
The ballooning event will kick off at dawn on the first day with balloons taking to the skies, with spectators watching these colourful orbs as they glide serenely through the morning sky. Throughout the day, balloons will be offering tethered flights, giving visitors the chance to get a taste of what floating metres above the ground feels like, whilst talking to pilots about the experience of a hot air balloon adventure.
By night, a sunset return to the skies for the balloons is planned, with the iconic and ever-popular night glow taking place once darkness has fallen. Crowds are always delighted when these balloons light up their burners to illuminate their canopies.
Alongside the ballooning extravaganza, visitors will be able to make the most of the funfair, the fireworks show and a whole host of local food and drinks stalls. Live entertainment showcasing circus skills, acrobatic displays and motorcycle stunts will also take place over the Fiesta weekend.
Visitors to the Staffordshire Balloon Fiesta will soon see why hot air ballooning delights all ages. Those that attend may then be interested in booking their own hot air ballooning adventures over Bath, Bristol and other areas of the south west.
