Whether you explore the city of Bath on foot, or from the skies as part of your hot air ballooning experience, Bath has a number of wonderful sights that you will not want to miss out on seeing. Here are some of our favourites:
The city was built upon steaming hot springs, which have been an important part of the city ever since. If you are ever in Bath, you should make it your mission to at least catch a glimpse of the Baths, which were built in approximately 70 A.D., as the steam rises in dramatic fashion.
Although it is not actually in Bath, this ancient prehistoric monument is located in nearby Amesbury, Wiltshire. It is one of the UK’s most iconic sights and it is possible to catch a glimpse of the intriguing megalith as part of a hot air balloon ride, which will also enable you to see impressive Bath landmarks, such as Bath Abbey and the Royal Crescent.
Parade Gardens is an impressive river-level park that overlooks the weir and which offers spectacular views of the River Avon, amongst other things. Throughout the year, the gardens play host to concerts, floral displays and fun events for kids. The area is also the perfect place to picnic and rest after a long day exploring Bath.
Of course, there are many more impressive sights to see within the World Heritage Site, but finding them for yourself is half the fun! Many can be spotted from the sky in a Hot Air Balloon – book your flight with Bailey Balloons and see how many you can spot!
