Halloween is a big deal over the pond, and in the USA over in Scottsdale, Arizona, this year was no exception. Hosted at the sports stadium at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, this year’s Spooktacular Balloon Festival took place over the Halloween weekend and wowed visitors from all over the local area with its spookily themed ballooning magic, food, drinks and entertainment.
Scheduled over two days, the event featured appearances from over 20 hot air balloons from round the country. Hot air balloons even served as a trick or treat sweet station to enable local trick or treaters to stock up on all manner of sugary delights. Visitors of all ages were able to take tethered flights from the ground to get a taste of what soaring up in the skies might really be like.
The Halloween theme continued throughout the weekend, as young and old alike were invited to dress up and take part in one of three costume contests on the first evening. Meanwhile, a local school had arranged a Spook Trail to entertain ghoul-seeking adventurers. Throughout the evening, iconic night glows where balloons light up their canopies delighted onlookers.
This event offered visitors the chance to experience the adventure of a hot air balloon ride in a unique, spooky context. If you want to experience the wonder of hot air balloon travel for yourself, we offer (unhaunted) hot air ballooning adventures over the skies of Bath, Bristol and other areas in the southwest.
